Explosion Levels Home of Tennessee Titans Cornerback Caleb Farley’s Father in Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Tragedy struck the Farley family on Tuesday morning as an explosion rocked Caleb Farley’s house near Lake Norman in Mooresville, resulting in the death of his father.

According to Iredell County Emergency Management, the incident occurred around 12 a.m. on Barber Loop Road near Old Arborway Road. One person was killed, and another individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of an explosion at the home. They discovered one victim who had managed to exit the house before being transported to a hospital for treatment.

Family members identified the deceased as Robert Farley, Caleb Farley’s father. Caleb, who is a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans, was fortunately not present at the time of the explosion.

Property records confirm that the house is owned by Caleb Farley, a native of Maiden. The home has an estimated value of more than $3 million.

Titans Head Coach Mike Vrabel expressed his condolences for the Farley family during a practice later in the day.
