Nfl symbol between field, TV and videogames

John Madden, historic coach and NFL commentator, has died at the age of 85. The National Football League announced that Madden passed away yesterday. The causes were not disclosed. As a manager, Madden led the Oakland Raiders to their 1976 Super Bowl triumph. He finished his coaching career with a record 103 wins, 32 losses and 7 draws in regular season games. Madden ended his parenthesis as a coach at 42 by becoming a television commentator: for 30 years he was the king of Nfl commentary, recounting 11 Super Bowls for 4 networks before leaving at the end of the 2009 season.

In the meantime he has become even more an icon of football giving the name to the most famous video game – Madden Football – dedicated to the sport by the giant EA. In 2006 John Madden entered the NFL Hall of Fame: “They always ask me if I’m a coach, commentator or video game guy. I’m a coach, I’ve always been a coach.”
