DIG/ The Stabilization and Equalization Fund (Caistab) proceeded, from 12 to 16 mai 2023the destruction of illegal fuel sales points in the province of Ngounié, precisely on the axis Mamiengué – Yombi.

During this expedition, petroleum products were seized including 5380 liters of diesel and 80 liters of gasoline.

“All the storage rooms were completely destroyed. However, the team was confronted with dwellings that also served as storage rooms.

These homes were spared. But they will be completely destroyed in the event of a recurrence,” has indicated the head of mission of the Caistab. Before warning:

“All the provinces where this activity has been identified will be affected in the coming months in order to eradicate this traffic”.

For the Caistab, the phenomenon of illegal fuel sales outlets is a serious blow to the balance of the equalization mechanism, and promotes unfair competition in the official petroleum products distribution sector in Gabon.

It should be remembered that this campaign initiated by the Caistab to start in October 2020.

The province of Ngounié constitutes the fourth stage after those of Moyen-Ogooué, Woleu-Ntem and Estuaire.
