Chennai: BJP president Annamalai said, “Some officials who may be in Madurai have misused their authority and issued more than 200 fake passports. The NIA should investigate the case related to the issue of fake passports.”
Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai met the media in Chennai today. Then he said, “If Human Resource Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan comes to attend the next graduation ceremony, will Minister Ponmudi similarly say that he will not attend the graduation ceremony? Or if another minister from the central government comes to the graduation ceremony, will he say that I will not go?
When Minister Ponmudi takes such a stand, the question arises for all the people of Tamil Nadu: Where can this go? Therefore, Minister Ponmudi should not politicize education, leave all this, adopt a smooth course with the Governor and the Central Government and get whatever comes from the Central Government, it is the duty of Ponmudi, BJP and everyone.
Some officials who may be in Madurai misused their authority and issued more than 200 fake passports. 72 fake passports have been issued from Avaniyapuram police station in Madurai city alone. More than 128 fake passports have been issued from other police stations in Madurai. Even after the court ordered the case to be investigated, it has been shelved.
Earlier two cases of fake passport of Tamil Nadu are with NIA. Kerala State’s case is with the CBI. So all those involved in the Madurai fake passport issue should be brought before the law. So we have written a letter to the Governor regarding this. We are also going to write a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah. Finally, the government did not take action even after the court said. Therefore NIA should take up the case related to issue of fake passport to Madurai.
Ever since Rajiv Gandhi’s death, Sri Lanka has been a key destination for many anti-social elements to enter Tamil Nadu from Pakistan’s ISI.
