Score zero and goalless at the Allianz Riviera between Aiglons and Gones at the end of the 3rd day of the championship on Sunday (0-0).
Lyon opens its counter. Beaten during the first two days, the Rhone club obtained its first point of the season, by hanging a draw in Nice (0-0). A happy outcome for Les Gones, who are still just as disappointing in the game. Without Lacazette, suspended after his red card received last weekend, OL quickly underwent Nice’s control.
A clear, but sterile domination throughout the first period. Although the Aiglons monopolized the ball in the Lyon camp, their offensives remained muddled. Like the attempts of Moffi (5th) and Diop (30th), without danger for Riou. Abused but not worried, the Gones finally got the only notable opportunity in the first act, when Sarr, served by Cherki, came up against Bulka from a tight angle (31st).
Nice too messy, Lyon makes the round back
Deprived of a show before the break, the Allianz Riviera was hardly more spoiled after returning from the locker room. The Gym however increased the pace as soon as the recovery, but Sanson was not able to concretize, missing the target at the entrance to the surface (47th, 55th). Faced with fearful and inoffensive Lyonnais on the counterattack, the Aiglons quickly fell back into their trap and were no longer able to obtain other highlights.
Francesco Farioli’s attacking coaching had no real effect on a very tense end to the match, if not rich in chances. While Nice chained a third draw in three days, Lyon stopped the bleeding but remained stuck at the bottom of the standings. Before thinking about the perilous reception of PSG scheduled for Sunday, OL must now focus on finishing a transfer window which has crystallized many tensions throughout the summer.
