Under a beautiful spring sun, the Parisians trained this Friday morning at the Camp des Loges. The players are 24 hours away from an extremely important match for the end of the season in Nice (8th), a team undefeated for 14 games in all competitions (8 wins and 6 draws), during the 30th day of the championship. The atmosphere was silent but studious.
After discussing a long quarter of an hour with his special adviser Luis Campos, the president of PSG Nasser Al-Khelaïfi followed the players as closely as possible during training, as he does on the eve of Champions League matches. He also spoke with coach Christophe Galtier, under pressure after the two defeats (at home) in a row in L 1.
Earlier, in the locker room, the Parisian president had spoken, holding a unifying and mobilizing speech. In the field, he stayed close to the staff and followed the session carefully.
Verratti and Bernat are missing
His team will travel to Nice amputated with a few important elements. In addition to the absences of Kimpembe (rupture of an Achilles tendon) and Mukiele (convalescence), Marco Verratti and Juan Bernat are indeed missing. The first remained in treatment for a muscular injury to the right hamstrings which will make him miss the trip to Nice and the second suffers from a contusion of the right ankle.
To make up for his absences, the coach involved several titis in training such as Hugo Lamy, Vimoj Muntu Wa Mungu, Youness El Hannach and Nehemiah Fernandez-Veliz. Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, who resumed on Wednesday, is applying for a place in the starting XI.
