(ANSA) – CATANIA, APR 20 – “A new economy makes use of technologies, innovation and intelligence as an engine of economic, social and cultural growth. Those who can freely access new research and increasingly precise data and technologies increasingly performing can innovate more rapidly, improve processes and strengthen competitiveness”. This was stated at the PD national conference in Catania on ‘Innovation, technologies, intelligence’ by senators Antonio Nicita, vice-president of the Senate group, and Lorenzo Basso, vice-president of the Transport commission at Palazzo Madama.
“For this – they added – we need a new industrial policy, which is able to spread skills, support research and technological transfer, promote the best technologies available such as artificial intelligence but also and above all reduce inequalities and give to everyone, people and businesses, equal opportunities to use their talents, their data and their qualities. A European-wide technological policy, which looks to the world, but which manages to take oxygen from our territories and our ecosystems. Promote digital policies – concluded Democratic Party senators Nicita and Basso – is crucial to stimulate the exchange of ideas, technological transfer and to encourage creative solutions to complex problems”.
