Nelson Peltz Defends Daughter Nicola and Son-in-Law Brooklyn Amid Beckham Family Feud Rumors
A billionaire businessman has publicly addressed ongoing speculation surrounding a rift between his daughter, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, her husband Brooklyn Beckham, and the wider Beckham family. Nelson Peltz, 83, offered a supportive statement during a Q+A session at WSJD’s Invest Live in Miami on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
The comments come after Brooklyn Beckham ignited a firestorm of media attention in recent weeks with a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram Story, alleging a strained relationship with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham.
“My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story and that’s not for coverage here today,” Peltz stated, before adding emphatically, “But I’ll tell you my daughter is great, my son-in-law Brooklyn is great and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.” He further revealed a reciprocal advisory relationship with the couple, noting, “I do [give them advice]. Sometimes they give me advice.”

Brooklyn’s initial statement, released in January, detailed feelings of being forced to “speak for myself and tell the truth” in response to what he described as “endless attacks” from his parents, both privately and through media outlets. He alleged that displays of “family ‘love’” were contingent upon public appearances and social media posts, even at the expense of professional commitments. She also highlighted her pride in her children’s character and work ethic during an appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends.
David Beckham addressed the issue of children’s social media use following his son’s statement, speaking at CNBC’s Squawk Box and acknowledging that “they [children] make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes.” Nicola Peltz-Beckham herself dismissed the feud rumors in a 2023 interview with Cosmopolitan, stating, “There’s no feud. I don’t know. No one ever wants to write the nice things.”
