The US actor looks back on his career in the film. And isn’t particularly proud of how he behaved in public back then.

Munich.

American actor Nicolas Cage doesn’t look back on his former self very positively. “I can’t stand this guy,” said the 58-year-old in the current “Playboy” issue (May) about his appearance as a young actor.

Massive Talent is coming soon, in which Cage plays himself as a superstar who’s made “just too many bad movies,” according to the announcement.

“When I look at performances like the early 1990s English talk show ‘Wogan’ that the film’s young Nicky Cage is based on, I see an arrogant, disrespectful and obnoxious maniac who just lets his ego out,” Cage told dem “Playboy”.

Some time ago, the actor turned his back on big Hollywood films. After several flopped films, interest in him had cooled off – but he didn’t want that anymore either. “I couldn’t stand the life of a so-called movie star anymore.” (dpa)
