Nicolás Petro, son of the President, “received $1,000 million from ex-narco Santa Lopesierra and Turco Hilsaca”

A new scandal affects the son of President Gustavo Petro, Nicholas Petro. His ex-wife, Day Vásquez, gave an interview in which she maintains that the politician would have received money from the ex-narco Samuel Santander Lopesierra and the controversial Turkish businessman Hilsaca.

Vásquez accused him of “receiving money from people who have had a somewhat dark past. From Mr. (Samuel) Santander Lopesierra (aka the Marlboro Man). Nicolás received money from that man, more than 600 million for his father’s campaign. That never legally reached the campaign because he kept that money and so on. A man from Cartagena, Turco Hilsaca, I think his name is; he also received him in my apartment ”.

The remark was made during an interview with Semana in which he clarified that, however, “Everything has been behind the father’s back”. Vásquez claims that he met with Santander Lopesierra in an apartment in Barranquilla between February and March 2022. “Everything was done through Maximum (Noriega). The money that he handed over was handed over to Máximo. The man never gave anything directly to Nicolás. Everything was through Máximo ”, he says.

The accusation indicates that Noriega would have intervened in three deliveries of money that would have begun to take place two months before the presidential campaign. The chain would have operated like this: Lopesierra gave the money to Noriega and he gave Nicolás Petro, in cash.

However, the story of Day Vasquez indicates that that money “did not reach” the coffers of the Historical Pact campaign. “He never made it to the campaign. That is why I tell you, that is foreign to everything, the money never came to the campaign ”.

The woman pointed out in Semana that part of that money would have been used to buy a house in Villa Campestre, in Barranquilla. However, the promise of sale would not have been made in the name of Nicolás Petro, but of a third party who signed the document “so as not to compromise Nicolás. He did us a favor.”

Regarding this case, the ex-wife of Nicolás Petro maintains that she personally told that story to President Petro in February because – she asserts – the president was not aware of what was happening with the ex-drug trafficker’s money.

The ex-wife of the president’s son told the magazine that the Turco Hilsaca would have given him 400 million pesos in two installments of money that were destined for the campaign. That money would have arrived after a breakfast that she and Nicolás Petro had with gabriel hilsacayour son.

The first installment of those $400 million from Turco Hilsaca they would have arrived on May 15 after an appointment that Gabriel Hilsaca and Nicolás Petro had at their residence in Barramquilla. At that time they would have given him $200 million in cash, in bundles of $50,000 bills.

The woman affirms that Hilsaca “first gave her 200 and, about ten or eight days later, she gave her another 200.”

According to the version that Vásquez gave to Semana, “he (Nicolás Petro) did not approach these people or ask them or anything like that, people approached him. He, well, was the son of the president. So, I imagine that these people thought, believed, or believe that the father is aware of the money that supposedly entered the campaign.”

Day Vasquez too accuses Nicolás Petro of receiving a truck from a businessman.
