Just a few days before her award for performance at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, Nicole Kidman lost her mother.
The Australian-American Nicole Kidman won the Best Actress award at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, for a role that overturns her glamorous image in the film “Babygirl,” a new generation romantic thriller.
However, the famous actress was not present at the awards ceremony to accept her prize, and a message from her was read instead. In it, the 57-year-old actress revealed that she was absent because she had to deal with and manage the loss of her mother.
“I learned of the death of my mother Janelle Kidman shortly after I arrived in Venice. I am in shock and need to be with my family. This award is for her,” she wrote in her message.
