Astronauts from different countries are working in the International Space Station. The International Space Station has a total of five research labs. Russia has two small research institutes of its own and one each for USA, Europe and Japan. Male and female athletes are working in these halls. In this, Nicole Anappu Mann becomes the first Native American woman from the United States to go into space. He has been waiting for this opportunity for 9 years. According to NASA, Nicole was selected by NASA in June 2013. NASA’s SpaceX crew will arrive at the International Space Station on the 5th of December aboard the Dragon spacecraft. A native of California, USA, Nicole holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also served as a colonel in the US Navy with two tours of duty on aircraft carriers. There are also instances where these astronauts can come out of the space station to perform maintenance tasks when needed. The spacecraft will take off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. Earlier, in 2002, a Native American named John Herrington made the first spacewalk. In that line, Nicole Mann makes history as the first Native American woman.
