There are only eight contenders for the title left, the favorites fell in the previous rounds and the suspense remains total in this 2024 African Cup of Nations. Friday February 2, Nigeria and Angola face each other at 6 p.m. Abidjan, at the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny stadium. This is the very first quarter-final of the competition.
Nigeria, winner 2-0 in its round of 16 against Cameroon, has one shot to play. The Super Eagles benefit from a renowned attack, notably composed of Ademola Lookman, author of a double in the previous round, and Victor Osimhen.
Angola is not left out either: Gelson Dala is the second top scorer of this CAN with four goals. The left winger scored twice in the eighth against Namibia (3-0), while the center forward, Mabululu, also scored.
