In this context, the state government implemented new corona restrictions in Tamil Nadu on December 31. The restrictions were said to be in effect until January 10.
Meanwhile, the first consultation was held yesterday as the number of corona victims in Tamil Nadu continued to increase.
Following this, Health Minister Ma Subramanian will hold another consultation with officials including Secretary Radhakrishnan on Wednesday at the Kalaivanar Arena.
At the meeting, final decisions are likely to be taken on the implementation of additional restrictions, including Pongal precautionary measures, night curfew and a ban on weekends in places of worship.
