/ The Women’s Committee of the Iraqi Football Federation announced, on Thursday, the withdrawal of the Nineveh Girl Club from the Iraqi Women’s Outdoor Football League.
Member of the Football Association, head of the Women’s Committee, Rasha Talib, told Agency that the reason for the Nineveh Girl Club’s withdrawal from the tournament came after the Federation refused to postpone the club’s team’s match in the first round of the Women’s League.
She indicated that the federation is keen to hold the tournament properly without postponements so that there is no defect in the organizational aspect.
On the other hand, the second round of the women’s league competitions will begin tomorrow, Friday, with three matches. The first match will be held in Dohuk between the teams of Al Badir and Amanat Baghdad, while Naft Al-Shamal Stadium in Kirkuk will host the match between Naft Al-Shamal Club and its guest, Fatat Baghdad Club. Finally, it will host Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Stadium. A match between his team, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club, and its guest, the Shahraban Club team.
It is noteworthy that the North Oil team won the title of the Women’s Outdoor League Championship last season after its victory in the final match over the Nineveh Girl team by seven goals to one.
