Nintendo Confirms New Voice Actor for Mario to be Revealed in Super Mario Bros. Wonder Credits

Nintendo has confirmed that the new voice actor for Mario will be revealed in the credits of the upcoming game Super Mario Bros. Wonder. In an interview with IGN at Nintendo Live 2023, Doug Bowser, the president of Nintendo of America, reiterated that there would be no name reveal until the game is launched and that there would be no formal announcement prior to this.

“We’ll let that play out and that’ll be within the credits, people will learn who the new person is at that point in time, but we don’t plan to make any announcement in advance of that,” Bowser stated.

A previous statement from Nintendo had asked fans to patiently wait for the game’s release to find out who the new voice actors for Mario and/or Luigi would be. Bowser also mentioned that the previous voice actor for Mario, Charles Martinet, was “very excited” about his new role and that Nintendo looked forward to having him “continue to represent” the Mushroom Kingdom as Mario moved forward.

However, Martinet himself seems to be unsure about his new ambassador role. He recently mentioned at a convention that he is not exactly sure what it will involve and claims that he will be learning alongside fans.

Nintendo fans eagerly awaiting the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder will have to wait until the credits to discover the new voice actor for Mario. There will be no official announcements from Nintendo prior to the game’s release regarding this matter.
