Nintendo expands its Switch Online N64 service with GoldenEye 007

Well, it’s officially here – now you can play GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo Switch! Your mission begins now, provided you have access to the expansion pack service.

The popular Rare-licensed FPS first appeared on the N64 in 1997. In the new, slightly updated version, players can now take part in online multiplayer. The Switch Online + Expansion Pack also allows users to save and load game modes at any time – making switching much easier.

Here’s more about this latest addition to the Switch Online service, courtesy of Nintendo PR:

Enter the world of espionage as Bond in GoldenEye 007. Your covert operation to stop the GoldenEye weapons satellite spans the globe – infiltrate underground bases, break into a military train and sneak through the depths of the jungle. Along the way, M will brief you on objectives and Q Branch will support your efforts with a range of tools, but the ultimate success of this mission is yours alone. Save the day, then go for the gold in local espionage vs. espionage** or online 4-player multiplayer mode and enjoy round after round of competitive first-person action.”

The remaining titles in Nintendo’s current N64 NSO lineup of games include Mario Party 3, Pokémono Stadium 2, 1080 on Ice, and 64-Mass. Japan will accept Harvest Moon 64 as well.
