The time is long. Very long even for all those who are still without power. In Brittany, 97% of homes have rediscovered the joys of electricity. But for the 26,500 households who are still deprived of it, the wait is proving painful. Hit by storms Ciaran and Domingos, the region suffered significant damage to its electricity, mobile and internet networks. Up to 780,000 homes were left without power at the height of the storm. Occurring on the night of Wednesday November 1 to Thursday November 2, Ciaran continues to disrupt the lives of several thousand residents. In Finistère, 20,000 homes are still without power for the ninth consecutive day.

Aware of the wait and the anger generated by these hazards, the Finistère prefecture wanted to recall the investment made by Enedis to repair it as quickly as possible. “The prefect of Finistère remains concerned about the very difficult situation experienced by households that have not been supplied with power for more than eight days,” explains the administration in a press release. On Thursday, 1,350 Enedis agents were deployed on the network “and there will be 1,500 tomorrow (this Friday)” promises the prefecture.

Mourning by the death of one of its technicians during an intervention in Pont-Aven, the Enedis company must prioritize its interventions, which now focus on all low-voltage lines. “Enedis prioritizes its interventions according to the unsupplied clusters with the largest population or within which there are vital points that need to be stabilized,” recalls the prefecture.
