Nissan currently has a plant in St. Petersburg, Russia. Nissan has been pressured to stop car production at the plant. Nissan has decided to leave Russia.
It is also reported that Nissan has decided to sell the plant in St. Petersburg to the Russian government. And Nissan is reportedly selling its plant to the Russian government for just 1 euro.
1 Euro is about 80 Rupees. This will result in a loss of approximately $687 million for Nissan. Accordingly, it has been reported that Nissan’s allied company, Mitsubishi, will soon leave Russia.
