In this situation, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Srinagar has advised students not to sit together and watch the India-Pakistan Asia Cup cricket match being held today.

In this regard, the college dean issued a notification saying, “A cricket series involving various countries is going on at the Dubai International Stadium. During this time, students should take the game as a game and not cause any kind of disorder.

Students should stay in their allotted rooms only during the competition today. Similarly, no other students should be allowed to enter the rooms. Students should not be allowed to watch the competition in groups.

In case of such incidents, the student to whom the room is allotted will be evicted from the hostel. And the students present will be fined at least Rs 5,000. Do not share any information related to the contest even on social media,” it said.
