Directed by Abrid Shine and starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role, Mahaveeryar will hit the theaters on July 22. A Nivin Pauly film is hitting theaters after 34 months. Nivin’s last theatrical release was Geethu Mohandas’ directorial Moothon in November 2019.

Movie buffs and fans thought that Thamurukham, directed by Rajeev Ravi, would be the actor’s next big screen release, but Mahaveeryar got that chance.

Movie buffs and Nivin Pauly fans have many reasons to look forward to Mahaviryar. The first reason is the gap of 34 months mentioned above.

Abrid Shine-Nivin Pauly’s first film was 1983 which was released in 2014. It was a film that gave a feeling of nostalgia to the Malayalees who carried cricket as their lifeblood.

After that, the two teamed up in 2016 in the action hero Biju and the film gave a different experience to movie lovers. The popularity of the film was due to the fact that the audience could see realistic policemen and the police station, which had not been seen in films till then, in Action Hero Biju.

As the third film released in that association, Mahaveeryar also has a lot of Pratikshas. Just like the action hero Biju, the screenplay for Mahaviryar has been written by Ebrid Shine.

State award winner Chandru Selvaraj has done the cinematography of the film. Ishaan Chhabra is also composing the background score for the film.

Asif Ali, Lal, Lalu Alex, Siddique, Shanvi Srivastava, Vijay Menon, Major Ravi, Sudhir Karamana, Krishna Prasad, Padmarajan Ratheesh, Sudhir Paravoor, Kalabhavan Prajod, Pramod Veliyanad, Shailaja P. Ambu is playing the other lead characters in the film.
