The Investigative Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has resumed its investigation into the disappearance of a teenage girl from the working village of Gidrotorf, Balakhninsky District, in 2013, according to the regional department of the department.

“The preliminary investigation of the criminal case on the fact of the unknown disappearance of a 15-year-old girl has been resumed,” it was reported. The Investigative Committee clarified that the case was opened on the day of loss in 2013. Two years later, his investigation was suspended, as it was not possible to find the teenager. But the search continued.

Five-year-old girl disappeared in Crimea

The Investigative Committee decided to reopen the investigation after human remains were found in a forest belt near the village of Gidrotorf last fall. As NN.ru writes with reference to the representative of the search and rescue squad “Volunteer” Sergei Shukhrin, the remains were found by mushroom pickers.

The forensic medical examination showed that they had no criminal injuries. The family members of the disappeared have identified the remains of the clothes in which she was at the time of the disappearance. Now investigators are establishing their affiliation.
