Neyveli: The police arrested two persons who were involved in the kidnapping of an employee of NLC.
Ilangovan, 54, Permanent Employee, 2nd Analytical Station, NLC, Cuddalore District, Neyveli; Neyveli Township Circle – 20 Vedder Street. He was cycling home after finishing work at 10.30 yesterday night. On the way, he drank alcohol in the Tasmac and fell down with the bike intoxicated. A gang of four who came there took Elangovan’s money, watch and ATM card and abducted him along with the bike.
They have threatened to withdraw money from the ATM opposite the first thermal. Then, Sutharitta Elangovan ran screaming towards the first thermal entrance in front and took refuge with the Central Industrial Security Force soldiers who were on security duty there.
Subsequently, the Central Industrial Security Force soldiers caught one of the bandits who was chasing Ilangovan. He was identified as Arvind, 22, of Neyveli Township Circle-21. On the information given by him, Ganesh Kumar, 27, of Township Circle – 21, was arrested. They are looking for Sakthivel and Chelamuthu who escaped.
