‘Katta Local’ hero Ambas Rajeev aka Kunchacko Boban is literally rocking the audience as he breaks into song on stage on the festive season. Ousepachan provided the tune, O.N.V. The song composed by Kurup was also retained and a re-loaded version was presented for the new film. Mammootty, Nedumudi Venu, Saritha and others have acted in the original song.
STK Producer Santosh T. under the banner of Framesin. Produced by Kuruvila Productions and co-produced by Kunchacko Boban under the banners Kunchacko Boban Productions and Udaya Pictures, Nna Than Kes Kod is a comedy.
Ratheesh Balakrishnan, the director of the popular film ‘Android Kunjappan’, is writing and directing the film. Another co-producer of the film is Sherin Rachel Santosh.
Kunchacko Boban plays the central role in the film. This is also the first Malayalam film starring Tamil actress Gayatri Shankar, who is famous for her films Super Deluxe and Vikram. Basil Joseph and Unnimaya are the other main stars of the film.
The crew and producers did the pre-production work for the film which lasted for six months. A huge amount of preparation had to be done for this film, which unfolds in the backdrop of the villages of Kasaragod. After several artists were found through casting calls from these regions and selected through training rounds, a short version of the film was made with only these artists before the actual film was shot. Around 10 locations in five villages of Kasaragod district were used for the 60-day shoot.
Bollywood cinematographer Rakesh Haridas (of Sherni fame) is handling the camera for this film. Cinematography by Manoj Kannoth and art direction by Jyotish Shankar. Don Vincent composes the music with lyrics penned by Vysakh Sugunan.
