Mumbai: Indian Test cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has joined the county cricket team. Pujara will play for Sussex at the County Championship. Pujara is set to replace Travis Head of Australia in the county. In addition to the county, Pujara will also play for Sussex in the Royal One Day Cup, a domestic one-day tournament in August. Pujara said on Twitter that he hopes to contribute to Sussex’s success.

Travis Head left the county to play in international matches for Australia. Pujara will remain in Sussex from the first championship match of the season until the final match of the Royal One Day Cup, the club said in a statement.
