No education: Iran poisoned girls

Tehran: Poison was given in Iran with the intention of stopping the education of girls. Schoolgirls were poisoned in Qom near Tehran, the country’s capital. Iran’s Minister of State for Health Yunus Panahi shared the information. The minister disclosed that since the end of November, there are reports that many female students have developed lung poisoning and many have sought treatment at the hospital. The Minister confirmed that this was due to the poisoning of some people. But he did not reveal more about this nor did he arrest anyone.

“Investigations after several students at COM schools were poisoned found that some wanted the schools closed.” Iran news agency reported. The parents of the infected students protested, demanding an explanation from the authorities. Government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi stated that the intelligence and education ministries are trying to find out the cause of the poisoning. Attorney General Muhammad Jafar Muntaziri had ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident last week.
