During a press conference in Chennai, BJP State President Annamalai accused DMK leader Stalin of receiving 200 crore rupees without providing any evidence to support the claim. In response, DMK stated they will file a case against Annamalai if the allegations are not properly addressed. Annamalai had previously announced the release of a corruption list on Tamil New Year regarding DMK, but has yet to provide any conclusive evidence. During the press conference, Annamalai also discussed his expenses as state president and detailed the background of his Rafale watch. Later, a 15-minute video was released listing the assets of several party leaders, including DMK. Annamalai stated that the property list of all parties in power in Tamil Nadu will be released and expressed his dissatisfaction with the alliance with ADMK in the 2024 parliamentary elections. DMK members questioned why no actions were taken against them by the BJP, CBI, Enforcement Division, and Income Tax Department despite not being charged with corruption. They went on to challenge Annamalai to release documents about property and schools within 15 days or face prosecution.

BJP’s state president Annamalai had announced a long time ago that DMK’s corruption list will be released on Tamil New Year. He had said that he would release the receipt of the Rafale watch that he had on the same day.
