by time news

The Railway Board Chairman said that the final approval has not been given for the Silver Line project. Central Railway Board Chairman Vinay Tripathi said that the in-principle approval was only for preparing the DPR. He made this clear in his reply to a letter from Kodikunnil Suresh MP.

This is the first time that the Chairman of the Central Railway Board has given a written explanation to an MP on the Silver Line issue. Permission granted in principle to K-Rail Corporation. Tripathi explains that the DPR presentation, in principle, is intended to authorize the disclosure of all details, including financial matters.

After the survey, K-Rail officials submitted the DPR to the Railway Department. The error in the DPR has now been pointed out. Documents submitted on the basis of preliminary approval are incomplete. The DPR does not have sufficient information on technical and practical aspects. The Railway Board was asked to submit information including alignment land, private land, railway land, where the existing railway line crosses, and railway material affected by the project. However, Vinay Tripathi pointed out that the K-Rail authorities have not yet done so, asking for a detailed report.
