Evan N’Dicka’s collapse during a game in Italy shocked the league. The professional is now doing much better: he is back on the pitch.
Good news from Italy: Evan N’Dicka is allowed to take part in training for his team AS Roma again after his collapse in the middle of the month. On Tuesday, the Serie A club announced that a cardiological examination had been carried out on the defensive player. The result: N’Dicka does not suffer from heart disease.
“The player is therefore able to resume his sporting activities,” said Bayer Leverkusen’s semi-final opponent in the Europa League. The small pneumothorax has healed.
N’Dicka collapsed on April 14 during his team’s league game against Udinese Calcio. The TV pictures showed the 24-year-old slumping down and clutching his chest twenty minutes before the end of the game. The former Eintracht Frankfurt player was then taken away on a stretcher, but gave a thumbs up to signal that everything was okay. Nevertheless, the Ivorian was taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack. The game was also canceled after much back and forth.
