No one has been appointed as a khatib or acting khatib at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, the Islamic Foundation said. This information was informed in the press release of the Islamic Foundation on Friday (August 30).
It is mentioned that the news about the appointment of khatib or acting khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in various national dailies, television channels and online portals has been published by Islamic Foundation, and it is said that such news is baseless and untrue.
According to the press release, “In fact, no one has been appointed or assigned as Khatib or Acting Khatib in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque and no such letter or office order has been issued by the Islamic Foundation.”
The notification also said that the real issue is that the Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Maulana Mufti Ruhul Amin, did not come to the mosque for some time, and in his place, Mufti of Islamic Foundation, Maulana Mohammad Abdullah and Muhaddis Dr. Waliur Rahman Khan has been given the responsibility of leading prayers.
Director of Mosque and Market Department of Islamic Foundation to investigate the issue of publication or dissemination of baseless news. The notification also mentioned that a three-member investigation committee has been formed headed by Abu Saeed.
