Jeddah: Workers’ permission is no longer required to change the names of eight posts, including Labor (AMIL). The condition was waived by the Saudi Ministry of Manpower ‘Qiva’ platform. The employer can now transfer the posts of Doctor, Specialist, Engineer, Technician, Specialist, Control Technician, Worker and General Worker to another post.
Fees for change of posts of worker and ordinary worker have also been waived. According to local newspapers, the process of rectifying the posts on the ‘Quiva’ platform has started without any payment. Employers can transfer employees in their ‘worker’ and ‘regular worker’ positions to one of 67 posts.
Of the above eight occupations, foreign workers will no longer be allowed to be recruited. When recruiting workers, an accurate description of the posts to which they belong should be given. Only companies are allowed to change jobs through the Qiva platform. Individual sponsors cannot change jobs through this platform.
Usually a change of job requires a worker’s permission and a fee of 2,000 riyals. Eight posts were excluded from it. But the fee waiver is only for first time job changes. A fixed fee must be paid when changing jobs a second time. Those who are registered in the Iqamah as laborers and ordinary laborers (Labor) can transfer to 67 other posts.
