Star association ‘Amma’ has no connection with Kerala Strikers, a team of Malayalam film stars in the Celebrity Cricket League (ccl). The organization also announced that ‘Amma’ will be removed from the name of the team’s Amma Kerala Strikers. The reason for the decision was differences with CCL management.
It is also suggested that Mohanlal’s name should be changed from the non-playing captain position of the team. Meanwhile, players are not barred from participating in the league. The Kerala Strikers led by Kunchacko Boban have prominent players like Unni Mukundan, Rajeev Pillai etc.
Celebrity Cricket League was started in 2011 by star associations. ‘Amma’ joins the league in 2012. Kerala Strikers have lost the first two games of this season in the Celebrity Cricket League.
