Kangana Ranaut has stepped into the studio of her next film amidst a string of failures. The film is titled ‘Emergency’ and tells the story of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is also being directed by Kangana Ranaut. The actor has said that it is not a biography of Indira Gandhi but a grand period film. It is not clear whether Kangana will play the role of Indira Gandhi or not.
But the actor told the national media that he is happy to wear the director’s hat again and that no one can direct it better than me. The film is Kangana Ranaut’s second directorial venture. Manikarnika: The actress had earlier directed the film Queen of Jhansi.
Meanwhile, Dhakad is Kangana Ranaut’s eighth film in a row. Earlier releases like Katti Batti, Rangoon, Manikarnika, Judgment Hey Kya, Panka and Thalaivi were smashed at the box office. There are reports that those who are ready to make a film with Kangana as the main character are withdrawing.
