Near Srimushnam, Cuddalore district, the family of the building owner staged a protest by cooking at the door as Tasmac did not vacate the shop even after the contract period was over.
A TASMAC shop is functioning in a building owned by a private individual in Gunamangalam village next to Srimushana. As the TASMAC management did not vacate the shop even after two years of the contract period, the building owner’s family staged a protest by cooking at the shop door. When Tasmac District Officer inquired about this on phone, the owner of the building said that since there is a Tasmac shop, no one gives a girl to his son, and if someone from their side gives a girl, they can continue to run the shop. Srimushnam police who came there then negotiated and asked to vacate the shop within 10 days. The protest was then abandoned.
