These days Fran Dresher (64) is quite a bit on the small screen thanks to reruns of the iconic series “Nanny”, but we will soon get to see her in a guest appearance on the comedy series “Mr. Mayor” alongside the actor Ted Danson. In an interview with E News, the actress talked about working alongside Danson, the role she played and how he relates to her personal life.

Drescher will play the character of Angelica, a well-known commercial star who is in a relationship with Ted. “It was a wonderful experience, it was so refreshing. I always wanted to work with Tina FeyI’m a big fan of her. I loved that the character they wrote for me was sexy, free and lived her life in her own way. ”During the episode Drersher’s character is expected to embark on a nightly“ adventure ”after breaking up with Danson and that’s exactly where the script launched with the actress’ private life.

“Not right now, but when I first got divorced and was in my early 40s, I was like an animal taken out of the zoo,” Drerscher recalled, adding that on the way she also went through a few dates from hell. “I was on a date during which I got into a fight with the guy over how to raise the imaginary child we would have because it was quite clear we had very different parenting styles. Anyone who ever says something that even implies prejudice it immediately becomes’ okay, I have “Headache, we will not order dinner.”

Of course, as part of her return to the singles market, the actress also experienced introductory apps, and there was no dizzying success there either. “I tried and found that none of the men there were right about how he presented himself. They were not as successful as their profile claimed. I think some smoked, some faked their age and even though I was with less successful guys than me I learned the hard way it’s fun for a while, “In the end, they start to get angry that you pay for everything and that you have more than they have – it hurts their male ego and I’m not going to do it anymore. It hurts me too much, I do not want to be angry about my success.”

Drescher concluded: “I think at the moment I am in the place of looking for myself after my last relationship and of course also in the Corona period I went through a period where I got into a relationship with myself a bit and it is going very well.”

For the benefit of those who do not admire (like us) Drersher we will mention that she was first married to love her heart from the high school, the actor and the producer Peter Mark Jacobson, In 1978, when she was 21. The two divorced in 1999 and Peter came out of the closet, but they remained best friends. In 2014, Drescher married for the second time, to an entrepreneur Sheba Idurai In a “spiritual” ceremony in front of friends and family. Two years later the two announced that they were separating.
