Rosarito, BC.- The hacking perpetrated on the systems of the Rosarito City Council on February 17 remains unresolved, to date there is no progress in the investigations and no official has been sanctioned for this fact, reported the Trustee, Jaime Ibarra Acedo.
The official explained that the Ombudsman is still integrating the investigation folder and although the IT Department offered an opinion, the one from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) for the complaints that were filed before that instance.

Ibarra Acedo said that it has been very difficult to integrate the investigations and it has taken a long time, although the prosecutor’s experts have appeared on several occasions, there is still no progress report.

No report on missing information
He added that there is still no report of the information that may have been lost, although not all agencies suffered from the cyber attack and some just had to reload the information into the system.

He explained that as a measure, resources were approved to modernize the system and some equipment and avoid a new cyber attackbut he announced that for the moment the Ombudsman has not sanctioned anyone for a possible omission that could have led to the attack suffered.
