The risk of death for a no vax is 16.6 times greater than for a subject vaccinated with a third dose or a covid booster. This is what emerges from the latest integral report of the Higher Institute of Health (Iss). the risk of death is, on the other hand, 11.1 times greater than that of someone who has been vaccinated for less than 5 months and 6.9 times that of someone who has been vaccinated for more than 5 months.
As for the vaccine, five months after the completion of the anti-covid vaccination cycle, the effectiveness of the vaccine in preventing the disease, both in the symptomatic and asymptomatic form, drops from 74% to 39%, the report still reads. But vaccination efficacy in preventing cases of severe Covid-19 disease remains high, as the efficacy in vaccinated with a complete cycle for less than five months is 93% compared to unvaccinated, while it is 84% in those vaccinated with a full course for more than five months.
And again: in the age group 0-19 48,503 new cases of covid-19 were reported, of which 167 hospitalized and 2 hospitalized in intensive care in seven days (the data relates to the period 22 November-5 December).
