Riyadh: Saudi Finance Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Nobel laureate Nadia Murad. Nadia Murad is an Iraqi activist who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018. Prince Faisal bin Farhan had a meeting in Brussels.
The Saudi finance minister said that Nadia Murad played an important role in exposing crimes and human rights violations. Daesh’s human rights violations in many countries have been the subject of discussion. He also praised Nadia Murad for raising awareness about human rights.
The head of the European Union’s mission to Saudi Arabia, Saad bin Mohammed Al Arefi, and the director general of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al Daoud, also attended the meeting. A victim of IS terrorism, Nadia works for women and children who are victims of genocide and mass violence.
