One year after their wedding, Ferdinand von Schwarzenberg and his wife Marie welcomed their first child. The couple shared the first details.
In May 2023, Prince Ferdinand married his partner Marie in a civil ceremony, followed two months later by a large wedding celebration. Now, just over a year later, another milestone has been reached in the couple’s lives: their first child together has arrived. The couple announced this in a private Instagram post.
Ferdinand von Schwarzenberg published a photo on his profile showing his wife from behind. Marie is pushing a stroller along an avenue in a casual denim dress, with a newborn baby wrapped in a blue blanket. In the title of the post, the 35-year-old revealed that the couple had a son. He also revealed his name: Friedrich Bedrich. According to the post, the little one was born on August 1 in the Belgian municipality of Brasschaat.
The name of Prince Ferdinand and his wife’s first child is likely to have a special meaning for him – because Ferdinand’s father was also called Friedrich. He died in April 2014 at the age of 73.
