Chennai: Puducherry Deputy Governor Tamilisai has given an explanation about the incident that took place at Chidambaram Nataraja Temple.

Information spread on social media that Governor Tamilisai was insulted when he visited the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple. Regarding this, Tamilisai has given an explanation regarding the incident in the temple.

In this regard, he posted a statement on his Twitter page saying, “Nataraja and… me… between… Naradars don’t want me!!!!! The delicious incident that happened when Chidambaram went to the Ani Thirumanjanam darshan at the Nataraja temple.”

In the statement, he said, “At 5 am I went to the Chidambaram Nataraja temple to attend the annual Ani Thirumanjanam Utsavam to have darshan of the Lord.

The temple management took me inside the temple and made me sit in a place in the temple to witness the Thirumanjanam event. I asked the security officers who came with me to sit aside so that there should be no disturbance to the public and I sat aside without disturbing the darshan of the public and was having darshan of the Lord.

After each abhishekam performed to the Lord, they offered sandalwood, garland etc. to the Lord. I also shared the prasadam with the public sitting near me. I was happily seeing God. No one bothered me. I didn’t disturb anyone either.

Does one come to me between darshan and sit somewhere else? he asked. I just said that Abhishekam seems fine to me and I will sit here. After that, after the abhishekam, sandalwood and garland were given. Sornabhishekam was performed for the Lord. I had a happy darshan of Sornabishekam performed with gold coins.

As soon as Sornabhishekam was completed, one of Dikshitar gave me two laddus. After giving the laddus, Dikshitar said to me that God’s grace is complete for you and I am very happy to tell you this.

I looked at him without understanding anything. Then he said look at this paper folded in a lattice. I also separated and saw a newspaper with my colored picture on it.

Then Dikshitar told me to give a piece of paper to the governor, I asked another Dikshitar and I was very happy that your picture was on the paper he gave.

So I am giving you this Latte with your picture. He said this seemed to me to be a spiritual blessing from Lord Nataraja.

It was a delicious experience…

In the morning, when Chidambaram Nataraja’s Ani Thirumanjanam ceremony leaves the temple with darshan of the Lord and prays for everyone to get everything with God’s grace, there are usually some rumors and hoaxes. I understand those scams.

I am happy to share with others that God has given me the maturity to take good things in my mind and accept only positive thoughts,” he said in the statement.
