After a fierce battle that lasted until the end of the game, Noh Seung-hee won the 2024 Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour ‘OK Savings Bank J-Man Open’.

Noh Seung-hee shot a 5-under 67 with 7 birdies and 2 bogeys in the final 3rd round of the tournament held at Incheon Club 72 Sky Course (par 72) on the 15th.

Noh Seung-hee, who shot a final total of 14-under 202, won the tournament by one stroke over the group tied for second place.

Until the end of the match that day, Noh Seung-hee, Seo Eo-jin, Lee So-young, and Ji Han-sol were in a close battle, tied for first place, but Noh Seung-hee birdied the final 18th hole to take the sole lead and lift the trophy.

With this, Noh Seung-hee, who won her first victory in the KLPGA Tour season’s second major tournament, the ‘DB Group Korea Women’s Open’, which was her 120th match since her debut in June, achieved her second win of the season in just three months.

She has been showing consistent skill by not missing the cut even once in all the KLPGA Tour matches this season.

After the match, Noh Seung-hee said, “I heard a lot that I should win two more times quickly after winning one,” and added, “I also felt that I needed to win two times to become a real winner, but I’m even happier to have won on such an unexpected course.”

Noh Seung-hee started the third round tied for second place, three strokes behind the leader.

He said, “I started off with a 3-stroke lead and was trying to move up in the rankings rather than expecting to win,” and “I had a bogey on the first hole, so I thought, ‘Is today not a good day? ‘ and played with an empty mind.”

Noh Seung-hee explained the situation during the game, saying, “I only found out I was tied for the lead on the 17th hole,” and “I focused until the end, keeping in mind the possibility of an extension.”

Compared to his first win in June, he also said, “This win was more thrilling and thrilling.”

He explained, “When I won for the first time, I had a large lead and had to play defensively, but this course is one where I have to make a lot of birdies to win. That’s why it’s more special and exciting.”

Noh Seung-hee said, “I was very nervous when I won my first championship, and I was really nervous during the extension, but today, I wasn’t that nervous even on the last hole, and I enjoyed it.” She added, “This match was a spectacle, so I think I was more excited than nervous.”

Noh Seung-hee said through this win, “I learned that it is important to focus on my current shots and putts rather than hoping for a win before playing,” and pledged, “I want to spend the second half of the year focusing only on my play.”

Dong-eun Lee, who shot a 6-under 66 in the second round the day before and took the sole lead, was unable to reduce his score by even a stroke, shooting an even-par 72 with four birdies and four bogeys on this day.

Lee Dong-eun, who recorded a final total of 12-under 204, finished the tournament tied for fifth place, dropping four places from the previous day.

Defending champion Madasom finished the tournament tied for 19th with a final score of 207, nine under par.

Meanwhile, Oh Su-min, who participated in this competition as an amateur, succeeded in making his first hole-in-one on the 16th hole (par 3) that day.
