The National Insurance Institute (NII) is ready and will pay with an individual payroll together with the pensions for the month of May and the Easter supplements. This was told to journalists in the parliament by the Deputy Director of the National Institute of Natural Sciences, Vesela Karaivanova-Nacheva.
She noted the amendment adopted by the National Assembly in the Law on the Budget of the State Social Insurance (SSI), which obliges the National Insurance Institute to pay the corresponding supplements of BGN 100 for the group of pensioners who receive income from pensions up to the poverty line.
Karaivanova-Nacheva recalled that pensions are paid from April 7 to 20. We will pay them out before Easter so that people can receive them as planned for the relevant holidays, she said.
She pointed out that they should make a meeting with “Bulgarian Post” because the majority of pensioners receive their pensions and supplements through them. We have created the relevant organization. Today I have a conversation and a meeting with “Bulgarian Post” so I can see what their schedule is.
We are ready. Whatever is necessary, the colleagues at the locations will do both Saturday and Sunday so that these amounts can reach the people for the holidays, she assured.
