Noida: Preparations have been made to develop the transport office in online mode in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. From September 1, online slots will have to be taken for every work related to vehicles in the RTO office. At present, only work related to driving license is being done online on the Sarathi 4.0 portal. On the same lines, now vehicle owners will have to go to the office only after taking an appointment for every work including vehicle registration and renewal. ARTO Administrative Siyaram Verma said that gradually all the services of the transport department are being made online. From September 1, many works will be done only after booking online slots.
Vehicle owners are going to get a big benefit from the facility of online slot booking by the RTO office. Vehicle owners had to visit the office for various works ranging from vehicle registration to other works. They also had to spend money to meet the officials and get the work done. Now they will get relief from all such problems. This facility can be effective in eliminating middlemen between the RTO office and the vehicle owner.

These facilities are already online
- The facility of paying vehicle tax is completely online.
- Applications for permits are made online. After this, the Transport Department verifies and issues the permit online.
- The system of learner’s license is online from 2022. People can get learning DL by taking an online exam sitting at home.
Sarathi portal upgraded
The pendency of 10 thousand driving licenses of the district still persists. On this, Transport Commissioner (IT) Sunita Verma says that the weight one of the Sarathi portal has been upgraded to version-2. Therefore, the pendency had increased. All the driving licenses that are in the backlog are being sent to the applicants as soon as possible. Very soon the pendency of driving licenses will end.
