A blazing sun beats down on the asphalt of the Allée du Promontoire, in Noisy-le-Grand (Seine-Saint-Denis). “It’s hot, but in the woods, we’ll be cooler!” says Christophe. This resident of the Grenouillère district organized this Saturday, July 8, with other residents, walks in what he nicknamed the “Bois Lumière”, an urban forest of 28,000 m2 which took root along the tracks of the RER A, a few hundred meters from Noisy-Champs station. This wooded plot must be the subject of a redevelopment denounced by residents of the district and local environmental associations.
