The 25th Non/fiction Fair of Intellectual Literature will be held in Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor from 6 to 9 April, just four months after the previous one. From this year, it finally switches to the autumn-spring format. Quantitative indicators remained the same – about 300 events, hundreds of participating publishers.
But the program has become noticeably paler compared to previous years. The novel “Until Paradise” by the American Hanya Yanagihara (known for the bestseller “A Little Life”) is perhaps the most notorious translation novelty of the fair. Of the Russian resonant “premiers” the lion’s share falls on the “Editorial Office of Elena Shubina”. In addition, the format of the presentation of a book that has not yet been published has been preserved – a sure indicator of content hunger.
