Nora Fatehi said, ‘I want to make one thing clear, this problem is not only for India. We still value culture and values. But in the West, there are many people who think that everything can be done alone. They even think that they can conceive and raise children alone. Of course, you can do that. But why would you encourage it? Rather, it should not be encouraged to build a single family.’

Referring to her own experience, Nora Fatehi said, ‘I come from a divorced family. When I was 10-11 years old, my parents divorced. So I’ve seen the negative impact it has on single mothers. Let the child grow up with the parents — I am in favor of this idea.’

Apologizing, Nora Fatehi said, ‘My comment was taken out of context. If anyone was offended by my comment, I apologize. I did not make the statement on purpose. Commented based on experience. Because I grew up in a western country.’
