Norka Team in Srinagar to Bring Back Bodies of Kerala Men Killed in Car Accident

Thiruvananthapuram: The Norka team is currently in Srinagar, Kashmir, to bring back the bodies of four Kerala men who tragically lost their lives in a car accident. The team is also providing assistance to the injured and coordinating with government representatives in the region.

The government has appointed a team, headed by Development Officer Shajimon, to coordinate the activities and ensure the smooth repatriation of the bodies. The post-mortem of the deceased, Palakkad Chittoor Sudheesh, Anil, Vignesh, and Rahul, has been completed and their bodies are currently in the police control room in Srinagar.

Once the necessary documents for repatriation and the embalming process are completed, the bodies will be brought back to Kerala. The Government of Kerala will cover the cost of repatriation through Norka routes and will also bear the travel expenses of the next of kin accompanying the bodies.

In addition to the tragic loss of life, one of the passengers, Manoj, was seriously injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at SKIMS Medical College in Soura. Doctors have recommended a 72-hour observation period for his recovery. The two other passengers, Rajesh and Arun, sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the vehicle, a native of Kashmir, also lost his life in the accident.

The Norka team is working tirelessly to ensure that the necessary arrangements are made for the smooth repatriation of the deceased and the best possible care for the injured. The Kerala government is committed to providing support to the families of those affected by this tragic incident.
