Students from the Ayotzinapa Rural Teachers’ College set fire to three vehicles in the parking lot of the Guerrero State Congress as part of their demand for justice for the 43 missing persons.

A group of around 200 young people with their faces covered arrived at the Legislative Power Headquarters around 11:30 where they held a rally and denounced the lack of access to truth and justice for their murdered and missing colleagues.

After the rally, the protesters used one of the vans they arrived in to open the doors of the Congress parking lot and enter to cause damage to the vehicles that were there.

Once inside, they caused damage to at least 9 vehicles, throwing firecrackers and subsequently setting fire to the van they had entered in.

The truck crashed into a tree and the flames spread, causing the total loss of at least three other vehicles.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire, while workers, visitors and even deputies were present at the facilities.

This action marks the beginning of the activities planned to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the forced disappearance of the 43 missing students.
