As part of the program to strengthen its defense capability, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has made a significant step forward, Day.Az reports, citing the Central News Agency (KCNA).

The country’s border troops have received an impressive reinforcement in the form of 250 launchers of the latest tactical ballistic missiles, produced at domestic enterprises.

The weapons transfer ceremony turned into a real family event for the top leadership of the DPRK. It was attended by the country’s leader Kim Jong-un, his daughter and sister, as well as the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the military command.

During the ceremony, Kim Jong-un emphasized that “strengthening defense capability is the most important state matter along with improving the lives of the population and eliminating the consequences of natural disasters.” It is worth noting that in recent days, the DPRK has been actively carrying out restoration work in the northwestern part of the country after devastating floods.

Although the exact characteristics of the new missile launchers and the missiles themselves are kept in the strictest confidence, it is known that the DPRK does not stand still in the development of new types of weapons. Particular attention is paid to multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
