North Korea has strict controls on everything from the media to social networking sites. In North Korea, what the state media says is news. But neighboring South Korea will immediately know many things happening in North Korea. It is the media in that country that exposes what is happening there to the world.

In such a situation, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un introduced a strict law last year. It states that people who sell or watch videos of South Korean movies, dramas and music will be sentenced to death in front of the public.

In this case, two boys from North Korea, aged 16 and 17, appeared on South Korean TV. They were caught by the country’s army last October for watching the play.

The charges were recently filed while they were under investigation. Following this, the two boys were shot dead in the middle of the public in Riangkang province. International human rights organizations have condemned North Korea’s actions.
